ABOUT YOU
You should have plenty of security experience under your belt, and you’ll have the knowledge required to advise on technical and other aspects of physical security. You might be someone looking for your next big challenge or for an opportunity to specialise more. In this role you’ll lead a regional team, using your analytical capability to make data-driven decisions.

As a Senior Physical Security Specialist here you’ll have an integral role in how the Department addresses its current and future security and resilience needs, so we need you to have strong, specialised and evolving physical security skills and knowledge.

In this role you’ll be responsible for reviewing the latest incidents or reports and deciding whether site visits are needed in response. You’ll monitor the status of physical security across a portfolio of sites in your area, getting to know the site and working well with senior site officials and supplier managers.

You’ll work with the managers and suppliers to put mitigations in place, supporting security awareness campaigns across your sites, and testing local incident management plans or business continuity plans.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK
Our team works across over 750 sites with each individual responsible for supporting over 40 sites, varying in size and complexity. We have sites across the UK and we’ll work with you to get you set up in the most convenient home location.

You’ll need to travel frequently to work with and support colleagues in sites across your region – we’ll make sure you have everything you need to do that effectively too.
